Done with Shooting

We managed to complete our shooting on our deadline i.e 10th of February. The shooting was a great experience that allowed us to successfully communicate our ideas of the shots and the film with the actors to make them understand properly , how the film is to be made and the shots to be taken before we actually did practical work on ground reality. It helped us in gaining experience about working with actors and about utilizing different locations to suit different needs of our shots. We did have some difficulties. Mainly because our actors are students themselves and we had to plan the shooting at such time where all our required actors were free which took up a considerable amount of time. But still , we did manage to pull everything off in the end.

Throughout the shooting , we maintained a log sheet. This enabled us to keep track of the shots taken and the quality of the shots(whether they can be properly used in our film or not). We wrote down the number of shots , the scene number and the battery percentage. We also made it clear whether a particular shot was acceptable enough to our requirements to be used in our film or not but either putting a tick or cross in front of it.

Music for our Short Film

Originally we were suppose to use music with the help of a friend and fellow student "Faraz Hussain" (as mentioned earlier in the post "Alternative Music Recording" , but there was a slight change of plan and we decided to use royalty-free music by Kevin MacLoed. His music is free of charge and royalty-free. He makes music for different genres including Horror , Comedy , Romance , Drama and Suspense. We had previously used his music in our AS project and we believe that using his music will add a unique feel to our film and will help to make our film's sound better. The website mentioned below contains the royalty free music:
